The Keriosak are the Beings of Daring in the West and another type of Fae in the Sorgae system. They are the Hounds who run on Kur's Wild Hunt. Sorgae Witches have an agreement with them, and Ariadne holds their reins and mediates between them and we Witches. They perform tasks on the astral at our request, but as with any agreement, there is a price, and so entering into their debt is not to be done lightly. They are fond of meat and red wine.
Despite referring to them as "hounds," their appearance to us is similar to the tree spirits in the Anime movie "Princess Mononoke;" small stature, round heads, pale skin, and large round eyes. As with the Hurralya, it is no coincidence if this description sounds familiar. Also like the Hurralya, their apperance and presence can be frightening. But so long as they have not been called against you, it is unlikely they intend harm.
I've never directly asked for their help, but I've seen them in my childhood home. My younger brother and a friend and I called them "monkeys," and played with them in the basement. One night when I was older, I woke up to use the bathroom, but had to wait as one of my parents was using it. I looked into the living room, and one was lying on the couch, watching me. It was roughly three feet tall, dressed in black, and made no movement and no sound. It was probably after that incident when I was taught to tell them they didn't need to frighten me to get my attention.
Being that one of my Directions is West, I have a pre-existing relationship with Kur, and I consider myself a writer and therefore indebted to the Muse, I wouldn't be surprised if it indicates that I have a particular connection with the Keriosak as well. What that could be, however, remains to be seen.

Date: 2013-05-31 05:18 am (UTC)I saw them as a child as well, around an apple tree we had in the back yard of the house I lived in before we moved here. It wasn't big enough to have apples, it was a sapling that was about as tall as them. But I haven't interacted with them for at least 15 years to my memory. I could be forgetting though
I think your thoughts on writing are really interesting too. Maybe you should explore it more.

Date: 2013-05-31 08:27 pm (UTC)You said that unless they've been called against you, it's unlikely that they'll harm you, even if they look scary or unsettling. How do you know if they have been called against you? What are some of the "signs" this may be occurring?
And also, are there any signs they're visiting you without causing harm? I'm pretty good at seeing the signs of the Hurralya visiting, but not of the Keriosak.

Date: 2013-05-31 08:35 pm (UTC)How do you know if they've been called against you? Well, hsve you done harm to any Sorgae Witches? But more seriously, I would think that so long as you haven't royally screwed anyone over, and your life hasn't suddenly become absolutely devastated in all possible aspects, it's nothing you have to worry about.
If the Hurralya give you signs of their presence, then you're lucky. Most of the encounters I know of are just suddenly feeling their presence and/or seeing them. Same with the Keriosak.
I'll point my HPS in this direction again though, she may have more information.

Date: 2013-05-31 09:54 pm (UTC)But as there aren't many Sorgae Witches who understand HOW to call them, it would be a rare thing.
As far as their visiting without intending to cause harm.... pretty much if you see/feel/perceive them and they're not RUSHING at you, you're ok. Their attacks tend to take the form of rushing and surrounding their target - then they disappear into that person's life, that is, once they're on the job, don't expect them to manifest visually. Auditorially (is that a word?) is another matter, as is emotionally and psychically. A target may hear eerie laughter, feel their skin crawling for no reason, and be sure someone is following them or watching them. From what I've been told, an attack is really pretty unmistakable.
Signs of them visiting? Hmmmm... I don't know other than actually seeing/feeling/perceiving them. They don't tend to take things or hide things the way the Hurralya do. Sorry.

Date: 2013-06-19 10:49 pm (UTC)I wonder if they have been part of my life that I just haven't remembered, since I'm connected to Kur.
But this is another wonderful post my love.
