I've been thinking, an About Me post may be in order, considering I'm hoping to have people I don't know outside of PBP read this journal.
Mundanely:
I'm a 31 year old bisexual cis woman, living in Minnesota, USA. I'm married, a housewife/SAHM, with two sons (Oldest is eight and a half, Youngest is a month short of four). I'm Sicilian, Swedish, German, Scots-Irish, and Bohemian. I'm short and the curvy sort of voluptuous. I have dark brown eyes and like dyeing my long brown hair various combinations of red and black. I've been diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety. I often care for others to the exclusion of myself. My mom is one of my best friends.
I enjoy reading Urban Fantasy and some YA, and I write slash fanfic. I like Shakespeare and various poets. I'm politically Liberal, a Scorpio, a fan of Steampunk fashion and art (specifically Western Steampunk and Steamgoth) and Art Nouveau. I collect porcelain and Gothic dolls, fairy figures (the Gothic variety are special favorites), and almost anything to do with Maleficent (from Disney's Sleeping Beauty). I'm a fan of horror, comedy, sci-fi, and fantasy movies. I like cooking-centric reality shows, sitcoms, crime dramas, true crime programs, True Blood, and animated shows for kids and adults. I fangirl on Tumblr. My favorite "supernatural" creatures are vampires. My music collection would confuse with its diversity.
Spiritually:
My parents raised my younger brother and I with non-Oathbound, age-appropriate Wicca (they were Initiated into Gardnerian Wicca in the mid-1980s) starting when I was about five years old. We stayed home from school on the Sabbats and sometimes performed family rituals. When I was 16, I took a more dedicated interest in religion, and started attending my parents' pre-Initiate rituals. I explored other groups and solitary work over the next decade and a half, and was finally Initiated into Gardnerianism myself in 2010. Since then, my Coven has embarked on a different path, exploring the revealed material we've come to call Sorgae.
My divination method of choice is Tarot, and I'm a natural Medium and Intuitive. My strongest Deity ties are in Celtic pantheons, though I have connections in Norse and a fair amout of knowledge of Greek. My spirit animal is Barn Owl, though Lion, Bear, Raven, Stag, and Scorpion are important to me as well.
